Our paper, titled "The Geopyörä Index: A New Instrument for Assessing Comminution and Rock Strength Parameters," presented by Thiago de Almeida at last year's IMPC, is now available for download.
The paper introduces the Geopyörä Index (GPI), our new comminution parameter that can be calculated using a simple formula, eliminating the need for curve fitting. The GPI was validated with over 200 samples, demonstrating its capability to precisely and accurately estimate conventional test parameters. Additionally, the GPI delivers reliable results independently, making it a valuable tool in assessing rock strength.
