Geopyörä is committed to making this website usable for everyone, including people who rely on assistive technologies.

Conformance target

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, and prefer 2.2 AA, in line with the European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882) and the harmonized standard EN 301 549, as enforced in Finland through national digital-services legislation.

Measures we take

• Keyboard operability with a visible focus indicator throughout.
• A skip-to-content link and logical heading structure.
• Colour contrast verified in both light and dark themes; information is never conveyed by colour alone.
• Respect for prefers-reduced-motion; the hero video does not autoplay under reduced motion and always has a pause control.
• Text alternatives for meaningful images and data visualizations.

Assessment and known limitations

Automated accessibility checks (axe-core) run clean across the site in both light and dark themes, and we test keyboard operation and screen reader output. Automated tools cannot catch everything, so some barriers may remain. If you find one, please tell us using the contact below and we will address it.
